I know that there can be a lot of terms used that can be confusing. Here is a list I'll keep updating to help keep things straight! Let me know if you think any others should be added!

The Terms
IIFYM - If It Fits Your Macros
Macros - Macronutrients - protein, carbs and fat
Cut - When you are cutting your calories or lowering them below maintenance to reduce weight. Also a calorie deficit. There is no specific calorie or macro cut as this will be specific to each individual.
Maintenance - the amount of calories you need to to consume in order to neither gain or lose weight. There is no specific calorie or macro cut as this will be specific to each individual.
Bulk - When you are adding calories over maintenance calories to build muscle or gain weight. Also a calorie surplus. There is no specific calorie or macro cut as this will be specific to each individual.
Reverse or Reverse dieting - where you slowly add calories from your cut or calorie deficit calories in order to increase metabolic rate.
TDEE - Your total daily energy expenditure. It refers to the number of calories you burn while performing your day-to-day activities and is also known as maintenance calories. These are the number of calories you need to consume to maintain your current weight.
BMR - Your basal metabolic rate, which refers to the number of calories you burn just to exist. You could lie on a bed without moving, and it would still require calories. Breathing, blinking, and all those basic human functions need energy to perform. Your BMR accounts for this.
